Job Description:

This System administrator job is in the Poughkeepsie World Wide Benchmark Center. This is a driven, client facing organization that performs benchmarks across all IBM Hardware platforms for our customers. We directly impact IBM revenue and work on the latest hardware, software and technology solutions from IBM. This opportunity is a system Administrator position working directly with worldwide Client Centers' project teams. Responsibilities include Power Systems virtualization. Demonstrated teaming skills are a must, as you will work across many organizations in and out of Server Technology Group (STG) and worldwide. Leadership, communication and organization skill are also needed. Knowledge of Power Systems and virtualization on Power systems and specifically with POWER8 is helpful. A demonstrated understanding of management interfaces for the Power Hardware Management Console (HMC) and PowerVM, and an understanding of PowerKVM and Kimchi the management interfaces for Power Linux are needed. Demonstrated understanding and ability to install configure and integrate middleware on Linux would be helpful. Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 6 months experience in Power Systems
• Readiness to travel 10% travel annually
• English: Fluent

Preferred

• Information Technology
• At least 1 year experience in Power Systems
