Job Description:

 The Senior Predictive Modeler will be responsible for working with the project team and the client's analytics division to explore the application of advanced statistical techniques in models of healthcare fraud; applying advanced knowledge of SAS and SQL programming to advise the modeling teams; develop/devising data mining and predictive analytic methods for implementation across medical areas; working with medical and investigative Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify ways to measure and model fraud vulnerabilities and to evaluate model performance.

The Senior Predictive Modeler will also be responsible for advising modeling teams on statistical and data mining methods, modeling techniques, and SAS/SQL programming. They are responsible for completing quality control reviews of production model code by the modeling teams, and supporting the team on IT issues.

In addition, the Senior Predictive Modeler will provide technical direction to Modelers on effective techniques to detect Medicare fraud; monitoring/maintaining the quality of predictive modeling efforts; reviewing modeling results and strategic directions in modeling with client; coordinating Modeler activities and ensuring Modeler tasks are completed on time; and working with the Project Manager to contribute to project planning, management and project status.

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for clearance process.

Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site.

Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel.

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years experience in Advanced SAS programming skills and PROC SQL with experience in large scale data environments
  • At least 3 years experience in Advanced analytical methods for data mining, anomaly detection, social network analysis, and predictive modeling
  • At least 3 years experience in Analytical report writing and client presentation skills
  • At least 3 years experience in Working collaboratively with team
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 10 years experience in Advanced SAS programming skills and PROC SQL with experience in large scale data environments
  • At least 10 years experience in Advanced analytical methods for data mining, anomaly detection, social network analysis, and predictive modeling
  • At least 10 years experience in Analytical report writing and client presentation skills
  • At least 10 years experience in Working collaboratively with team
  • At least 10 years experience in Medical background/experience or experience with health claims; fraud prevention
  • English : Intermediate
