The Configuration Manager is
responsible for Configuration Management (CM) of developmental and operational
systems. This role works on developmental and operational teams to create and
maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
supporting developmental and operational systems. They use or recommend automated
CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures and develop or modify CM
plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the
developmental or operational system. The Manager is also responsible for
implementing CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial
requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life and will perform
change control and configuration audits.
The work location is Ft. Meade, MD
Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel

- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 5 years experience in CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- At least 1 year experience in using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity
- At least 3 years experience in configuration management best practices, methods, and tools.
- Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SCI-CI Poly) - Active
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years experience in CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- At least 3 years experience in using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity
- At least 5 years experience in configuration management best practices, methods, and tools.
- At least 2 years experience in multiple configuration management (CM) tools
- At least 3 years experience in providing configuration management solutions for complex custom software development and COTS-based projects
- English : Intermediate
