IBM Global Business Services (GBS)
Application Innovation Services (AIS) has established a team of Enterprise
Asset Management thought leaders and experts. The focus of this team is
developing solutions and delivering Enterprise Asset Management programs for
our clients.
The Maximo Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the planning, installation and technical configuration of IBM Maximo and Smart Cloud Control Desk (SCCD) related products. Key responsibilities include Maximo/SCCD hardware sizing, installation, technical configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting and administration.
Additional responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities:

Perform Maximo technical system planning, installation and database
upgrades at client sites and remotely

Conduct infrastructure assessments
·
Document technical information
·
Work with Cloud, Internet and Firewall technologies
·
Work cooperatively with IBM project and client teams in order to execute
billable assignments and provide detailed follow up
· Support IBM
Consultants, GBS Management and IBM Customer Support departments regarding
Maximo Infrastructure related issues

- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Maximo system administration, Technical Consulting or Technical Support
- At least 2 years experience in Command line and file system knowledge of Unix/Linux O/S, Red Hat/SUSE Linux, IBM AIX, Solaris or HP-UX
- At least 2 years experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
- At least 2 years experience in SQL statements and scripting
- At least 2 years experience in IBM WebSphere J2EE Server platform (consol administration and clustering)
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 4 years experience in Maximo system administration, Technical Consulting or Technical Support
- At least 4 years experience in Command line and file system knowledge of Unix/Linux O/S, Red Hat/SUSE Linux, IBM AIX, Solaris or HP-UX
- At least 4 years experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
- At least 4 years experience in SQL statements and scripting
- At least 4 years experience in IBM WebSphere J2EE Server platform (consol administration and clustering)
- At least 1 year experience in Networking, especially TCP/IP
- At least 1 year experience in IP Load Balancing technology (i.e., F5, Cisco appliances)
- At least 1 year experience in one or more of: LDAP (Windows Active Directory), DB2 Dbase Administration, BEA (Oracle) WebLogic Administration, SSL (HTTPS), Single Sign On, IBM Tivoli Monitoring, VMWare, Citrix Metaframe
- At least 1 year experience in WebSphere JMS Queue, Bus and Datastore setup and configuration
- At least 1 year experience in Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) or Maximo Enterprise Adapter (MEA)
