The Business Objects (BOBJ)
Designer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and
maintaining Business Object Reports/Universes.
In addition, the Business Objects Designer/Developer is responsible for developing/maintaining Business Objects reports, universes, and metadata. They will run unit testing and validate Business Objects reports and universes, as well as develop report prototypes and review report deliverables. This role is responsible for collaborating with Client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), IBM teams, and other teams to develop and implement the solution and assist with deployment activities.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required for Clearance Process.
Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site. Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel.

- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 4 years experience in Business Objects Web Intelligence, Designer, CMC/Security
- At least 3 years experience in designing and implementing visual dashboards and reports with Business Objects front end BI tools
- At least 3 years experience in SQL and Entity Relationship diagrams
- Basic knowledge in data warehousing concepts and principles
- At least 3 years experience in developing and maintaining Business Object reports, universe and metadata
- At least 3 years experience in unit testing and validation of Business object reports and universes
- At least 3 years experience in developing report prototypes and fine tuning report deliverables
- At least 3 years experience in identifying risks/issues and recommending mitigating actions; identifying key milestones and tracking progress accordingly
- At least 3 years experience in producing metrics, creating documentation, and process workflows
- At least 3 years experience in translating customer requirements into technical tasks to validate system specifications are met
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Security clearance of MBI
- English : Fluent
