Job Description:
The Predictive Modeler/SAS Programmer will be responsible for working with the project team and the client's analytics lab to explore the application of advanced statistical techniques in models of healthcare fraud, developing/devising data mining and predictive analytic methods for implementation across medical areas and working with medical and investigative Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify ways to measure and model fraud vulnerabilities and to evaluate model performance. In addition, the Predictive Modeler/SAS Programmer will also be responsible for statistical analysis, data manipulation and descriptive analysis, modeling planning / SME and team meetings, client interaction/presentation and report writing.

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required for the clearance process.

Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site. Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse project based on travel.

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years experience in Advanced analytical methods for data mining, anomaly detection, social network analysis, and predictive modeling
  • At least 2 years experience in SAS programming skills
  • At least 2 years experience in SQL queries
  • At least 2 years experience in Working with large scale data manipulation
  • At least 2 years experience in Designing/producing sound descriptive statistical analysis; analytical report writing and client presentations
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 2 years experience in Medical background/experience or experience with health claims
  • At least 2 years experience in Fraud prevention
  • English : Intermediate
