Job Description:
The SAS Programmer/Analyst will be
responsible for creating, modifying and executing SAS programs on a large
client engagement. Typical tasks include supporting multiple technical and
non-technical teams, working as a process analyst, troubleshooting issues,
identifying and describing business problems, solving complex challenges, and
understanding the requirements and needs of the internal/external project
clients.
In addition, the SAS Programmer/Analyst will also take responsibility for executing/enhancing existing diagnostics processes and producing high quality client deliverables. A successful candidate will operate with limited supervision and is expected to solve complex business problems in an independent fashion.
The Programmer/Analyst may be responsible for performing quality checks and ad hoc analysis using SAS, developing new checks and tests for processes, and identifying/implementing improvements to existing processes, measuring performance, developing ideas, and working with team members to implement new analytics and data visualizations of client data.
Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site.
Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of their metro area. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand. Travel requirements may vary but could be up to 100%. Candidates are not able to refuse projects based on travel.

- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 1 year experience in SAS, or similar programming and statistical analysis software skills
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year experience in Programming or scripting experience, including Python, R, or Visual Basic
- At least 2 years experience in SAS, or similar programming and statistical analysis software skills
- At least 1 year experience in SQL Queries
- English : Intermediate
