Job description
Your primary role as Senior Database Administrator will be to build and integrate databases to meet the requirements of internal and business unit projects on UNIX, Linux, Mainframe & Windows environments for IBM customers. You will provide database admin functions for multiple customers to ensure IBM’s SLAs are met or exceeded. This includes supporting Production and Development databases to ensure availability, performance, structural integrity and security are maximised. This position is also responsible for reviewing/overseeing all technical change across specific client environments.

Duties on of the Senior Database Administrator will include; maximising availability, database problem detection, tracking, impact (severity) determination, recovery and resolution, backup and recovery procedures, monitor and tune databases for optimal performance, changes, security, forecasting, capacity planning, and more.
