Job Description:

A Security Operations Desk analyst will need to have a demonstrated understanding of network protocols and Network devices (switches, routers etc) fundamentals, as well as basic Unix/Linux and Windows knowledge. The Security analyst should be familiar with Network troubleshooting routines. A Security Operations Desk analyst should have basic skills on Firewalls and Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/ Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) experience as well as needs to have demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English as all the tasks are performed remotely. A Security Operations Desk analyst needs to be self motivated and must have demonstrated attention to details and organization skills.

The Security Operations Desk responsibilities can include but are not limited to: Monitor and Escalate security incidents, perform first investigation (network troubleshooting and further verifications) on incidents related to Managed Security Services (MSS) Customers’ devices, managed by IBM MSS. Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least 1 year experience in Problem Solving Techniques
• At least 1 year experience in Technical Troubleshooting in Network Security Solutions
• At least 1 year experience in Understand Intrusion Detection Solutions
• At least 1 year experience in Understand Firewall Solutions and Device Applicability
• English: Fluent

Preferred

• At least 3 years experience in Problem Solving Techniques
• At least 3 years experience in Technical Troubleshooting in Network Security Solutions
• At least 3 years experience in Understand Intrusion Detection Solutions
• At least 3 years experience in Understand Firewall Solutions and Device Applicability
