Job Description: The Mental Health Program Manager is responsible for reviewing, designing, developing, and monitoring various international mental health related programs for IBM employees and families, in alignment with evidence-based practice and IBM HR strategy. Programs include, but may not be limited to, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), behavioral health benefits, stress management programs, critical incident support processes, training for HR and managers, and new innovative approaches.
This role will need professional training and a detailed understanding of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) standards and evidence-based guidelines for mental health prevention, screening, and treatment. The role also requires significant interaction and collaboration with IBM colleagues internationally, management of relationships with key vendors who deliver the IBM mental health programs, and actively representing IBM in key industry groups to benchmark employer programs and identify new learnings.
This will need experience in mental health, EAP, or related fields, with international experience preferred. Must have strong project management skills, be detail-oriented with business control practices, have team leadership capabilities, be able to manage and prioritize many concurrent projects and deliverables, and be able to communicate effectively both written and orally.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead efforts to increase access to EAP internationally, advance and align EAP design standards, improve utilization of EAP services, and improve the quality and consistency of EAP data analytics.
• Manage international IBM advisory team on the topic of mental health, foster active collaboration, and organize training for IHS staff.
• Establish and build relationships with key vendor and community partners to advance mental health program objectives.
• Advise the health benefits team on evidence-based practice coverage for behavioral health treatment services, in alignment with health promotion programs.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, international teams in various capacities to advance program objectives and integrate with other health programs.
• Evaluate and regularly report on program utilization, impact data, and progress against key targets, including leveraging of analytics and research partners.
• Monitor industry advances and next practices, to ensure proactive program enhancement and innovation.
• Leverage formal project management practices and tools, to ensure efficient monitoring and reporting of project status, steps, and timelines.
• Represent IHS internally with key stakeholders, and represent IBM externally with select industry groups and peer organizations.
• Ensure compliance with IBM security, accessibility, business controls, communication, and other company guidelines.
• Complete ongoing professional development activities to further skills and knowledge. Required
- Master's Degree
- At least 10 years experience in Mental health program development/oversight
- At least 5 years experience in Program/project management
- Licensed in Psychology or Related Field
- Readiness to travel 10% travel annually
- English: Fluent
- Psychology
- At least 5 years experience in EAP management
- At least 5 years experience in International work
- At least 5 years experience in Employee health/issues management
