The IBM Client Center for Advanced Analytics mission is to design, build implement and support differentiated, advanced analytics solutions for clients in a wide variety of industries. Crucial to this mission is the center’s development and implementation of leading edge analytics solutions, and nurturing new talent for the center and broader community. The center will serve as an intellectual hub for solutions – uniting clients, analytics Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), researchers, academics from the area and analytics experts from industry.

The Business Analytics Project Manager (PM) is directly accountable/responsible for successful project delivery of business analytics solutions, using formal project management methodology, providing hands-on leadership and direction to the team, as well as managing client relationships. This is a hands-on consulting delivery role in a complex and integrated environment.

Typical tasks include:

Assisting Partners in the sales process through client meetings and working with teams to create presentations, proposals and contracts to facilitate and close the sales process, creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating models, staffing plans, roles and responsibilities, deliverables templates to be the foundation of contracts.

Setting up and kicking off projects including the entire project management system and facilitating client kickoffs.

Closing out projects including closure in IBM financial system, redeploying resources, closing conditions of satisfaction with client, knowledge harvesting and sharing.

Establishing and managing a team in a global environment.

Projects include all phases including strategy to deployment and production support.

Tracking and controlling everything from small to large and complex projects from the beginning to end of lifecycle.

This includes significant and detailed WBS and financial tracking to ensure close knowledge of Plan vs. Actual for the following Year To Date (YTD) and Inception To Date (ITD):

- Sponsor Agreement management
- Supplier Management
- Tracking and Control
- Technical environment management
- Work Plan management

The Business Analytics PM is expected to develop/maintain senior client relationships, and to participate in business development activities. They are expected to have exceptional skills in the following areas:
- Writing and speaking
- Financial management
- People interaction and management
- Negotiation
- Issues based consulting
- Bridging between technical and business views
- Business analytics and optimization high level technical knowledge

Although this position is based out of our IBM office in Dublin, OH, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs. (2252)

LI-TK1 Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in experience managing and delivering all phases of a Business Analytics & Optimization / Business Intelligence (BI) soluton project
• At least 3 years experience in experience in leading a consulting team through implementation and deployment
• At least 3 years experience in experience in formal project management methods
• At least 3 years experience in experience in industry processes and best practices
• Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
• English: Intermediate

Preferred

• At least 5 years experience in experience managing and delivering all phases of a Business Analytics & Optimization / Business Intelligence (BI) soluton project
• At least 5 years experience in experience in leading a consulting team through implementation and deployment
• At least 5 years experience in experience in formal project management methods
• At least 5 years experience in experience in industry processes and best practices
• At least 3 years experience in Project Management Certified (PMI, PMP, etc.)
• English : Fluent
